Apollo is the god of light and truth. He is the son of Zeus and Leto, and born on the island
of Delos. Apollo plays the golden lyre for Olympus, and is the lord of the silver bow. He is the Archer-god and is also the
Healer. Apollo has been called "the most Greek of all the gods".
Apollo was also called Delian of Delos, because of where he was born, Pythian, from killing
the python, "the Lycian", meaning the Wolf-god, "the Sminthian", meaning the Mouse-god, the Sun-god, and Phoebus, meaning
brilliant and shining.
Apollo's tree is the lorel. He has many animals sacred to him, but the most important were
the dolphin and the crow.
